Online Catalog "How To"

-Visit http://www.riceavenuelibrary.org. |

-Enter your "Library Card Number" and "Password" in the fields provided under "Login to Online Catalog" at the top of the page. Your default "Password" is your 7-digit phone number (no spaces, no dash).

-NOTE: If you have difficulty and need to verify password, come to the Rice Avenue Library for assistance.
|
|
-NOTE: Patrons may change their password at any time by logging in and clicking "My Account" and "User PIN Change".
|
|
|
|
-Login to your account.
|
|
-Click "My Account."
|
|
-Click "Review My Account."
|
|
-There will be a list of your checkouts and their due dates and a list of bills and/or holds (if you have any).
|
|
|
|
-Login to your account.
|
|
-Click "My Account."
|
|
-Click "Renew My Materials."
|
|
-You will see a list of items currently checked out. Click "Renew All" or select individual items.
|
|
-Click "Renew Selected Items."
|
|
-The items you have renewed will be confirmed and a new due date displayed.
|
|
-NOTE: Fines and/or over dues prohibit renewing privileges. Also, you will not be able to renew an item if it has been renewed once before or if it is on hold for another patron.

|
|
-Visit http://www.riceavenuelibrary.org.
|
|
-Type keyword or author or title in search box.
|
|
-Click blue "Search" button.
|
|
|
|
-Click "Search/Home"
|
|
-Type search term in box under Quick Search.
|
|
-Click the gray down arrow and choose search field. (Pick "author," "title," etc. OR "words or phrase" searches all fields.)

|
-Choose library.
|
|
-Click "Search."
|
|
-A new screen will bring a list of items.
|
|
-Click blue "Details" button next to a title to learn more about that item. *OR try "Power Search" on the Search/Home page for more options.

|
|
-Login to your account.
|
|
-Search for the item you wish to place on hold.
|
|
-Under the list of Search Results, click blue "Details" button next to the item you want.
|
|
-Click "Place Hold."
|
|
-Choose the library where you wish to pickup the item by using drop down menu.
|
|
-Click blue "Place Hold" button.
|
|
-A new screen will list the item that you put on hold.
|
|
-Click "OK."
|
|
-NOTE: You will not be able to place holds if you have fines and/or over dues.
